Despite significant evolution in the symptomatic treatment of some central nervous system pathologies (anti-psychotic drugs, anti-depressant drugs, anti-Parkinson drugs), there is still no aetiological treatment of neurological or neuropsychiatric pathologies available.

The CNS drug market is estimated to 80 billions of euros in terms of sales. It represents the second largest sector of the worldwide drug market after the cardiovascular pathologies. Our research is focused on developing new molecules and therapeutic strategies to treat neurological diseases.

Our research is focused in three therapeutic areas: Neuroprotection, Regeneration and Neuropathic pain.
